Autumn’s Here

Autumn has arrived in Montréal. The air is perceptably colder and people are all wearing their coats, gloves and scarves. The difference really has arrived in a matter of one or two days and the temperature has dropped.
What’s really remarkable though is the chill in the air. You can really feel almost ice in the wind. Apparently the cold air is coming down from the artic – it’s almost as though the artic weather front has suddenly won over warmer ones from the south.

By the way, Canadians say Fall has arrived in Montréal rather than Autumn.
