Autumn time is approaching in Québec, which means that the leaves on the trees start to change color. If you’ve never experienced the bright, deep reds and oranges it’s a sight you should see. Why is Québec so blessed to have this symphony of color? It’s due to the abondance of Maple trees here. The sugars in the Maple make the leaves turn the color they do.
The leaves on the trees change color at different times in different regions – plan things well and you can see the peak display many times over. There are different things and impact when a tree will change colour, from temperature to the weather. For example, if a storm comes through, many of the leaves will fall from the trees leaving them bear rather than red.

You should plan on visiting the different regions of Québec around mid October to see the colors. Different landscapes will bring a different visual experience, from the rolling hills of the Eastern Townships to the more rugged Laurentian mountains. Québec is yours to discover.
