Fall in the Eastern Townships is beautiful. The gently rolling landscapes give you access to the beautiful colours of the changing trees. If you’d like to drive around the townships with a goal in mind, why not follow the Wine Route (Route des vins)?
The grape harvest, or vindange in French, is about to begin as the end of the growing season arrives with the start of winter. Now is a wonderful time to visit the vineyards, taste some of the wines available, and take in the beautiful colours of the countryside.
A note of caution to red wine lovers. Some of the vineyards have sold out of their reds – if it’s important to you call ahead before planning which vineyards to visit. Some of Québec’s vineyards are the victims of their own success!
